~THE DESTINY~

The night deepens,
The sky darkens,
The stars are strewn,
My road goes on.

The road that I persue,
Where bees swarm all about,
Where grass dance all around,
And crickets play on the ground.

A shelter is all I seek,
There's a roof I see,
And a well beside it,
With water glimmering like gems in it.

But the path leading it is rough,
The sharp stones make it tough,
Like thorns they pierce me,
And black crows jeer at me.

My bruised feet would stop any moment,
My sore body will get the punishment,
That why I ever treaded this road,
And why I ever bore this load.

But then forward as I proceed,
The well has now become my need,
I approach it cravingly and then I lean,
My parched lips and cracked heels now heal.

As I keep on walking along the path,
And now it is bathed with moonlight,
I smile that I'm not alone atlast,
With hope I forth steer myself,
